In the new laptop, Apple will beat a 6- or 8-core "heart".
IHS Markit analyst Jeff Lin suggests the new 16-inch MacBook Pro will receive 9th-generation Intel processors (Coffee Lake Refresh). The choice of potential buyers will be offered laptops with 6-core or 8-core Core i7 or Core i9 chips, respectively. Intel's top-end solution runs at 2.4 GHz with overclocking up to 5 GHz. The laptop will also receive an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics card.
According to the same Jeff Lean, in May 2020, the same processors will be installed in the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Unless, of course, Apple releases this model, some experts doubt it.
Apple is still not ready to use the 10th generation Intel processors (Ice Lake) in its expensive laptops. The fact is that the latest chips of sufficient power have not yet appeared on the market – there is no 6-core or 8-core model.
The announcement of the new MacBook’s, according to Jeff Lina, will take place either in September or in October. Traditionally, Cupertinians will present their MacBook’s in the second autumn month. But this year everything can change.
Recall that, according to rumors, the dimensions of the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be comparable to the current 15-inch model, thanks to the very thin frame of the display. In addition, the device, according to the famous and rarely mistaken insider Ming Chi Kuo, will receive a completely new keyboard mechanism called “scissors” – much more reliable than the problematic “butterfly”.
