Steve McManus took over as senior director.

Apple hired Steve McManus, who served as Tesla's vice president and was responsible for creating the salons and car bodies, Bloomberg writes. In Tesla, he worked since 2015, and previously also held senior positions in Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley Motors and Aston Martin.

Named the new release date of the first electric car Apple

Judging by the profile in the social network of professionals LinkedIn, at Apple, McManus took the post of senior director. But what exactly he does is not reported.

And although his experience in designing car interiors will certainly come in handy when creating an e-mobile, Bloomberg is sure that he will also take part in the work on other Apple projects.

Recall that the rumors about creating a Cupertinov electric car with autopilot, have been going for a long time. However, the final concept of such a machine is still unknown.

For a while, experts assumed that Apple would completely abandon the creation of a full-fledged car and instead throw all its strength on software for third-party manufacturers. However, last year, rumors again spread over the network that the concept of its own car from the “apple” company would still take on physical form. At the same time, the well-known analyst Min-Chi Kuo predicted the appearance of such a car in the interval 2023-2025.

As for Apple and Tesla, these companies are not new to hiring each other’s former employees.
