Apple is the leader in 5G. So say fans of the company in the United States ¯ _ (ツ) _ / ¯

At the beginning of the year, fifth-generation mobile networks began to be put into commercial operation in various countries of the world. In Ukraine, 5G is promised in three years, but not about that now – experts at Strategy Analytics conducted a survey to assess the awareness of 5G technology among Americans. The other day a corresponding report on the results of the study was published.
Alas, Strategy Analytics does not disclose the exact number of participants or other details regarding the sample, so representativeness cannot be estimated. But the main points outlined on the Strategy Analytics website are, to put it mildly, surprising. In general, awareness is high, but there is some confusion.
About two-thirds of consumers surveyed said they had a Basic (Familiarity) or even Very Familiar view of 5G, with nearly one in five respondents believing that they already had 5G.
While one in four US consumers called 5G an important feature, one in five still does not see the need for 5G or intends to wait for more convincing arguments that 5G is better than 4G before buying a new device with support for fifth-generation networks.
Perhaps the funniest moment: Apple fans in the United States believe that the company is ahead of the rest in promoting 5G technology, despite the fact that the reality is different – Apple has not yet released any devices with 5G support and believes that this technology is not needed yet. But when they were asked which brand when choosing a smartphone with 5G support, they tend to give preference, most pointed to Samsung.
