Apple Patent Describes Mac Computer Made from a Solid Curved Glass Panel

The company filed another patent application, which describes a new design option for the Mac desktop computer. Its main body consists of a single curved glass panel.
The wedge-shaped block located behind the glass serves both to maintain the structure and to accommodate computing components and interfaces. The slot in the middle of the bottom allows you to place the keyboard. Interestingly, Apple suggests using a flexible lower part, due to the change in the curvature of which you can adjust the tilt of the display and even close the system.
One section of the patent application shows that the keyboard block of a MacBook can be passed through the slot at the bottom. Thus, this design can also be used not only to create full-fledged computers, but also as a dock for a laptop.
It should not be expected that the glass Mac computer described in this patent application will soon appear on the market. So far, there are technological problems that impede its implementation. Recently appeared foldable smartphones have shown that the appropriate technology still needs to be further developed. Nevertheless, the application shows in which direction the development process at Apple is moving, and that the company is ready to radically update its desktop computers.
