It's a paradox, but sales are growing.
Apple's share of the TWS headphone market has dropped to an all-time low of 35%, analysts from Counterpoint Research said. At the same time, sales of wireless AirPods headphones are only growing, experts emphasized.
Counterpoint Research predicts Apple will ship 82 million AirPods in 2020, up 30% from 61 million last year. In this regard, the company's share in the TWS-headphones market will drop to a record. At the moment, Apple's share is 35%, which is the lowest figure for the company.
According to Counterpoint Research experts, the reason for the decline in Apple's share is pressure from the Chinese TWS headphone manufacturers. Apple's competitors are releasing low-cost models that are gaining popularity among consumers, especially in China and India.
Xiaomi is in second place in terms of the number of TWS headphones sold by the third quarter of 2020 with a share of 10%. Samsung is on the third line with a share of 6%.
