Apple urges Epic Games to resolve Fortnite scandal "peacefully"

Apple has issued an official statement urging Epic Games to resolve the "peaceful" removal of the popular Fortnite game from the App Store. Apple said the company would lift restrictions on Fortnite if the game again meets App Store requirements.
Apple noted that Epic Games created problems for itself by deliberately violating the rules of the App Store. Epic Games has introduced Fortnite to the ability to make purchases directly without paying a 30% commission. This is a direct violation of App Store rules, Apple said.
If Epic Games resolves the violation and removes the direct purchase option from Fortnite, Apple will return the game to the App Store. In addition, Apple will not delete the Epic Games developer account, which the company has previously threatened. Deleting your account may result in the breakdown of other games powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine.
Epic Games has yet to comment on Apple's statement. The company previously sued Apple immediately after removing Fortnite from the App Store. Epic Games accused Apple of monopoly.
Notably, Google similarly removed Fortnite from Google Play for policy violations. Epic Games is also suing Google.
