Here it is.
DxOMark laboratory receives € 100 thousand (about 6.8 million rubles) for creating a positive review of smartphone cameras. This was reported by a Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, who told some details about the work of the laboratory.
According to an insider, manufacturers send smartphones to the DxOMark laboratory before the presentation, along with an “entry fee” of € 100 thousand. In return, DxOMark specialists make a positive review of the smartphone’s cameras, excluding all failed photos from it. Only the advantages of cameras are described in the reviews, and smartphones get high marks, putting them in the lead of the rating.
Those manufacturers who refuse such cooperation receive "honest" reviews of smartphone cameras indicating all the disadvantages.
Earlier, the DxOMark laboratory was heavily criticized by foreign media. The last wave of negativity passed at the end of 2019, when DxOMark published a comparative review of the cameras of several smartphones, including Samsung and Apple. Journalists drew attention to the fact that in test shots on smartphones of Chinese brands, DxOMark specialists deliberately smiled, and on the photos taken on the iPhone, on the contrary, they made sad faces.
Currently, in the ranking of "best camera phones" DxOMark the first five places are occupied by smartphones of Chinese brands Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor.
