The players are unhappy.
IPhone, iPad and Mac users were denied access to Fortnite Season 4, which launched on August 27. The content was not released on Apple platforms amid a lawsuit between Apple and Epic Games, the developer of the popular game.
Owners of Apple devices with Fortnite installed can continue to play the legacy version of the game. New content for the fourth season, dedicated to the superheroes of the Marvel Universe, has not become available on iOS, iPadOS and macOS platforms. The reason is that Apple has removed Fortnite from the App Store and Mac App Store.
Also, Apple device users have lost the ability to play with players on other platforms. Crossplay has stopped working because the version of Fortnite on Apple platforms is different from the current one.
Recall that earlier the first court hearing between Apple and Epic Games took place. The court issued an interim ruling, barring Apple from removing Epic Games accounts from the App Store and Mac App Store. That said, Apple was not obligated to return a deleted Fortnite game to its app stores.
