Mouse cursors appear.
Apple is developing enhanced mouse support in iOS 14. According to the iOS 14 code leak received by 9to5Mac, the firmware will also support additional actions when working with the mouse, similar to macOS.
The mouse cursor in iOS 14 will change depending on what object it is pointing at. For example, when you hover over a link, the cursor will change from a standard arrow to a cursor in the form of an index finger. It will automatically disappear from the screen after a few seconds of inactivity. Due to this, the cursor will not interfere with the user during normal use of the device.
IOS 14 will support new commands executed with the mouse. Users will be able to use the right-click to obtain additional capabilities for using various objects, to clamp the mouse buttons on the trackpad with increased force and perform other actions.
In addition, the leak indicated that Apple is developing two new models of Smart Keyboard keyboard case for iPad. Previously, sources found that a new generation of Smart Keyboard can get a touchpad for convenient iPad control with the mouse cursor.
It is expected that the innovation will become part of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Whether the enhanced mouse support is implemented on the iPhone is unknown.
