Production is in preparation.
Apple will equip the line of smartphones iPhone 12 with ultra-thin OLED displays of the sixth generation manufactured by LG. New screens will reduce the thickness of the flagship cases, as well as reduce power consumption. This was announced today by the resource The Elec.
According to sources, LG is currently preparing to launch mass production of sixth generation OLED displays. The launch of production should take place in the second quarter. This will enable Apple to provide full supply for all new iPhone OLED screens.
It is not known in which particular models of the iPhone of 2020 the new generation OLED displays will appear. It was previously reported that Apple will release at least four versions of the iPhone 12: two flagship and two more affordable, but without some key features.
One of the important advantages of the sixth generation OLED displays will be reduced power consumption. Due to this, Apple will be able to increase the battery life of future iPhones, even if smartphones support fifth-generation networks.
