Many US exam sites do not have HEIC image format support. They allow you to accept only images in more well-known formats: PNG, JPEG and others. Because of this, many schoolchildren and students were unable to pass tests and exams, sending completed tasks photographed on the iPhone. According to foreign media reports, due to the lack of support for an unusual format, thousands of students suffered.

There were so many complaints about the HEIC format being created by the iPhone that the Union of US Colleges had to intervene. The Office has created instructions that describe how to change the format of images on the iPhone from HEIC to JPEG. To do this, go to the menu "Settings" → "Camera" → "Formats" and select "Most compatible".
