Min-Chi Kuo: Apple will release another headphone and wireless charger this year, but it won't be AirPower

Apple has a few months before the presentation of its hardware innovations, and the company, presumably, is already preparing to release a 4.7-inch iPhone, the new iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. But besides these devices, Cupertin’s giant can also release new high-end headphones, UWB tags and a wireless charging station. All this, according to the forecast of the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we will see in the first half of 2020.
Some of these products are already familiar to us. For example, Apple Tag / AirTags became aware of UWB tags in September last year thanks to a series of leaks in iOS 13. The Apple Tag uses ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity and is needed to search for other devices with UWB support. Currently, the technology is supported by the latest iPhone smartphones.
Apple is also planning another attempt to launch a wireless charging station. In September 2017, the company announced the AirPower mat, capable of charging both iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time without the need for precise placement. Moreover, Apple promised that it will add to its smartphones the function of displaying the charge level for all charging devices, but all this was not destined to happen. The new charger will differ from AirPower in a more compact size. Kuo does not provide other details.
It is also unclear what the analyst meant by “high-end headphones.” Earlier there were rumors that Apple is working on full-size wireless headphones under its own brand, which will become analogues of Beats. Given the tremendous success of AirPods and AirPods Pro, you can believe it.
As for the iPhone SE 2, rumors about it have been actively circulating for several months. According to the latest reports, Apple will use the design of the iPhone 8 and the equipment of the iPhone 11. Earlier, Kuo said that the iPhone SE 2 will be released before the end of March and its cost will be $ 399. The new iPad Pro will receive an A13X processor and a main camera with three sensors, like the iPhone 11 Pro. Finally, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops will receive a scissor keyboard and will be updated to the latest 10th generation Intel Core processors.
