Ming-Chi Kuo: in the second quarter, Apple will transfer MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops to scissor-mounted keyboards

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple plans to soon begin to equip keyboards with scissor-shifting more laptops. New MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models with such keyboards will appear in the second quarter of 2020. Recall that in last year's 16-inch MacBook Pro, the company has already switched to such keyboards that replaced the unreliable butterfly switches. Prior to this, Apple used butterfly keyboards on all new laptops manufactured since 2016.
Ming-Chi Kuo recently also suggested that the current 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop will be replaced with a 14-inch model, but he did not say whether this would happen as part of the second quarter upgrade. It is possible that the keyboard with the scissor switch will first appear in the 13-inch model, and then there will be a more significant revision of the characteristics.
Separately, Ming-Chi Kuo spoke a little more about his thoughts on the long-awaited transition of Apple to ARM processors. According to Kuo, MacBook models with Apple-developed processors may appear on sale in the fourth quarter of 2020 or in the first quarter of 2021. There is no more detailed information about these devices yet. At the same time, Kuo also says that the appearance of the MacBook with a completely new design is planned for the second or third quarter of next year.
