New details revealed about the next compact iPhone

As it became known in early autumn, next year Apple will release a compact 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Pro. For the first time, the company will reduce the diagonal of the screen in its flagship smartphones, which makes the iPhone 12 Pro unusual. Today, sources in the Korean edition of ETNews have revealed new information about the upcoming smartphone.
According to the leak, the iPhone 12 Pro will use a 5.4-inch Samsung display manufactured using the new Y-OCTA technology. It allows you to directly overlay the touch screen on the OLED panel without an additional layer. Thanks to this, it will be possible to significantly reduce the thickness of the screen and reduce production costs.
The new display will give Apple the opportunity to make the iPhone 12 Pro thinner or to keep the thickness of the smartphone the same, but to increase battery capacity and add new chips. Given that Apple has not been shy in making devices thicker in recent years, the iPhone 12 Pro should expect a battery with increased capacity.
A similar display using Y-OCTA technology will be used in the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, insiders found out. The more affordable 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will feature a traditional OLED display like the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The suppliers of displays for all new iPhone models of 2020 will be LG and Samsung.
iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will usher in a new “super cycle” of Apple smartphones. It is expected that the new items will receive a full redesign – they will be made in the style of iPhone 4.
