Fans of flagships will need to wait.

Apple will not be able to release all smartphones from the iPhone 12 line at the same time. According to DigiTimes sources, due to production difficulties Apple will have to postpone the launch of iPhone 12 models with 5G support to the end of 2020.

Sources found that Apple suppliers immediately lowered expectations from the launch of new iPhone models in 2020. If previously Apple partners expected the delivery of 40 million smartphones in the first installment, now they expect 15-20 million.

According to experts, this is due to the fact that Apple will release some iPhone models later than usual. It is reported that the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max with support for 5G (mmWave) will be released in November-December 2020.

At the same time, cheaper models from the iPhone 12 line should be released in the first half of the fall. It is a compact 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max. According to the latest leaks, both smartphones can be released in two configurations: with support for 5G and without.

Previously, the layout of the compact 5.4-inch iPhone 12 was compared with the 2nd generation iPhone SE. As it turned out, the new iPhone 12 will be smaller than traditional 4.7-inch Apple smartphones.
