Apple was sued, accusing the use of someone else's intellectual property.
The company Parus Holding sued Apple, accusing the latter of using someone else's intellectual property. This is a patent issued by the US Patent Office under number 7076431, which was purchased by Parus Holdings from Webley Systems.
"Under attack" all gadgets using voice assistant Siri. And these are most of today's iPhones, iPads, absolutely all Apple Watch and HomePod smart watches, as well as some MacBook and iMac Pro models.
Each of these devices can, using Siri voice commands, extract information from specific websites, and then provide the user with the data found, also in voice form. This decision is spelled out in paragraph 1 of the above-mentioned patent owned by Parus Holding.
Parus Holding claims that Apple knew about the existence of a patent and still used their intellectual property. Cupertins are required to stop violating the rights of the copyright holder, pay damages, pay lost profits and pay all court costs.
Apple is not the only company that has come to the attention of Parus Holding lawyers. Similar claims filed with Google, LG and Samsung, which also use voice assistants in their devices.
