The alleged photos of the iPhone 12 blanks confirm the "rectangular" design and the Lightning port

Judging by the latest news reports, the mass production of the new iPhone 12 will start next month – a month later than usual, as the early rumors said. All sorts of leaks regarding the next generation of Apple smartphones, has accumulated by now decently. And now there are photos on which, most likely, iPhone 12 metal blanks for accessories manufacturers are captured.
The design that these metal mockups demonstrate is exactly what the previous leaks described it: a return to the “rectangular” design with flat faces in the iPhone style (the new iPad Pro tablets, as you know, have the same body shape), as well as preserving the distinctive features of current models – a “square" main camera and a cutout for the Face ID system. In addition, the Lightning port is clearly visible on the lower edge. That is, no USB-C in the new generation iPhone, contrary to numerous rumors, will not.
These photos also confirm previous rumors that this year the iPhone 12 line will be represented by four models: the base iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Plus will come to replace the iPhone Xr and iPhone 11 – they will receive dual main cameras and screens with a diagonal of 5.4 and 6.1 inches respectively; the older iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max (analogues of 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max) can boast a triple camera with lidar and larger displays – 6.1 and 6.7 inches.
According to preliminary data, Apple for the first time in history will equip the entire series with OLED screens, including the most affordable version of iPhone 12. Also, all smartphones in the series will receive a 5-nanometer single-chip A14 Bionic system. In the iPhone Pro models, a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz will appear, and the basic ones will be satisfied with 60 Hz screens. It was also said earlier that the younger model is equipped with a dual main camera, and the iPhone Pro will receive triple cameras with integrated LiDAR scanners, like the iPad Pro 2020 introduced in March. Recent data also indicates that only older iPhone 12 will support the 5G NR standard on millimeter waves (mmWave), while the younger ones will be limited to 5G NR Sub-6GHz support.
The iPhone 12 should be presented at Apple’s traditional September presentation, but the new smartphones will be on sale late – according to unofficial data, because of the coronavirus, Apple was forced to postpone the start of sales in October-November.
