This became known from the report of the research company Canalys.
From April to June 2020, Huawei shipped 55.8 million smartphones. Samsung ranked second with 53.7 million units shipped. Apple is on the third line. Canalys did not specify the number of iPhones shipped in the second quarter of the year.
Huawei's success was influenced by a sharp increase in demand for the manufacturer's smartphones in China. In the last quarter, the company accounted for 46% of all smartphones sold in China.
Huawei has managed to keep smartphone sales in line with the second quarter of last year. The decline in sales of smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer was 5%. At this time, Samsung shipped 30% fewer smartphones in the second quarter than a year earlier.
