Vodafone analysts found the characteristic features and differences in the behavior of the capital's owners of the top iOS and Android smartphones. To do this, they analyzed the habits and preferences of users of the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max, 11 Pro and 11, Apple iPhone XR, XS and XS Max and compared them with the habits of users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S10, S10e and S10 Plus, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, as well as Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
It turned out that users of the most expensive Android smartphones use 148 MB of Internet per day. Their counterparts on iPhone download an average of 300 MB every day, twice as much – 1: 0 in favor of the Yabloko.
At the same time, iPhone owners spend less time per month in popular applications than Android adherents – 6 days less on Instagram, 5 days less on Facebook, almost 3 days less listen to music online and watch videos on YouTube. How they manage to spend twice as much traffic at the same time remains a mystery. According to the hypothesis of Vodafone analysts, iPhone users prefer heavier video content, even while chatting on instant messengers and social networks, and also spend a lot of traffic on watching videos on other resources. We will consider this a victory for the owners of Android smartphones – 0: 1.
If you want to get to know the owners of expensive iPhones, it's best to look for them in Multiplex movie theaters. But the capital's owners of Android-smartphones are more fond of "Planet Cinema." In general, users of iOS smartphones are more fond of cinema – almost twice as many of them use the services of movie theaters. A slight advantage of iOS over Android and among visitors to the mall is 59.7% versus 44.1%. Here, the preferences coincide – both categories of users like to spend time in the Ocean Plaza and the Gulliver shopping centers most of all.
In the choice of countries for travel, the tastes of the supporters of iOS and Android smartphones are also slightly different. Both categories most often visited Turkey, Poland and Italy, but then their paths diverged. IPhone users also traveled extensively in Spain and Germany, and owners of Android smartphones more often traveled to Russia and Hungary. This summer, more owners of top models based on iOS went abroad: 46% versus 38%. Also, they are most likely to be abroad again in the next two months: 41% versus 25%. Again 1: 0 in favor of iOS.
A draw for those who are driving or taking the subway. Half of the users of both iOS and Android move around the city by car, the rest choose other types of mobility.
Users could resist and not post a photo of their cat, but Vodafone analysts still found them, focusing on Internet behavior, movement around the city and a dozen more secret parameters. Among the users of the latest iPhone lovers and connoisseurs of other pets, in Kiev was 11.6%, while only 8.2% of Kiev residents who had already got a top-end Android smartphone got a pet.
Thus, the total score was 5: 3 in favor of the iPhone.
Recall that recently the Ukrainian retail chain Vodafone Retail presented a quarterly analytical report of the smartphone market in Ukraine, compiled on the basis of sales data for the third quarter of 2019, as well as big data.
