The company has perfected the technology.
Xiaomi has officially announced the third generation sub-screen front camera. The company showed off a smartphone with a new generation camera in work and announced that its mass production will begin in 2021.
Xiaomi said the company has made significant progress with the third generation of the sub-screen front camera. Xiaomi has adopted a new pixel layout that lets light through without turning off the pixels. Thanks to this, the front camera receives the necessary amount of light to create high-quality images. At the same time, the pixel density of the screen area above the subscreen camera does not decrease.
In previous generations of the sub-screen camera, Xiaomi has taken a different approach. The screen area above the front-facing camera had half the density of the rest of the display area. Only in this case was the screen able to transmit a sufficient amount of light.
Big news: Xiaomi announced the third generation of under-screen camera technology. The video below is a special under-screen camera version of the Mi 10 Ultra, which has reached a usable level, which is very exciting. This technology will be mass-produced in early 2021.pic.twitter.com/m8bujC2KCs
